A fictional energy drink built to test how far a futuristic look can go in product advertising. One matte-black can, a burst of liquid and ice, and electric cyan light.
VOLT is a fictional energy drink I designed to explore a bold, futuristic identity and an experimental way of advertising a product. The launch poster puts a matte-black can at the center of a burst of chrome-bright liquid, ice crystals and electric light.
The goal was to make the product recognizable at a glance while keeping the visual energy high.
How do you show energy, intensity and a futuristic personality without burying the product?
The poster had to feel intense and experimental, yet keep a clear order: the can first, the VOLT name second, supporting copy last.
It also had to hold up as a small preview in a social feed, where only the strongest shapes and colors survive.
Everything on the poster comes from one idea: a product that looks like it was dropped into electrified water.
A slanted wordmark with a glossy liquid finish and a V-shaped swoosh that flows into the letters.
A matte-black can with real condensation, set against glowing liquid and glass-like ice.
Electric cyan leads, purple adds depth, and white keeps the small text readable.
A forward-tilted can, curling liquid arcs and flying droplets create movement in a still image.
The logo pairs a bold, slanted wordmark with a custom V-shaped liquid swoosh. A soft cyan glow makes it look lit from within. The same mark sits large at the bottom of the poster and on the can.
Secondary text uses wide, letter-spaced capitals, so the small lines feel technical and stay out of the logo's way.
Wide, bold headlines that echo the slanted, powerful wordmark.
Clean and readable for descriptions and long text.
Letter-spaced capitals for labels, hex codes and fine print.
Hover or tap a point to see where it sits on the poster.
The can is the biggest and brightest element. Its matte body stays distinct from the glossy effects around it.
Splashes and ice are dense, while the corners and the area under the logo stay calm for text.
The VOLT name appears twice at high contrast. Supporting copy is small and secondary.
Real-looking aluminum, droplets and ice meet glowing, surreal liquid for a premium feel.
The poster at three feed sizes. At the smallest, the brand still reads as a dark can with a lit cyan V.
Photoshop handled compositing, lighting, texture and final assembly. Illustrator handled vector logo and geometric elements. My manual focus was composition, type placement, hierarchy, color balance, legibility and final quality control.
Loud on color, calm where it counts.
The final poster gives VOLT a distinctive, high-energy look. The brand name and the can read instantly, the cyan and purple palette stays consistent from logo to splash, and the glossy liquid contrasts strongly with the matte can.
What I took from it: an experimental style works when it has one clear hero, a limited palette and a quiet area for text.
